MMM3: The Finish Line

I'm now in the process of finalizing all things MMM3: The Final Countdown, and I've got a big grin on my face. No, its not because the Giants have won 5 straight games (or that I've been able to watch most of the games for the first time in YEARS...). Its because DressMonkey now has all of its fabrics, buttons, tags, and boxes (and a few other surprises) ordered for your buying pleasure during MMM3.

We've got some very cool fabrics coming up in our offering, and I think you'll be impressed. Our plan is to start posting our blazer offerings by November 10th, after I have received all of our fabrics. I have personally made sure that we've ordered some of the highest quality and most unique fabrics that will make you sure that your DressMonkey is not only unique to you (I'm not sure if your aware, but you will be able to choose how you want your blazer to look...hence the principle behind DressMonkey), but unique among our competitors as our Tweeds, Velvets, Cords, and Wools are all going to stand out in their own, unique way. We've spent the better part of 4 months scouring the countryside and trade shows, all in an effort to bring the finest in textiles to you, the friend of the Monkey. China is arguably the world's largest producer of textiles, but I can tell you, most of it is absolute shit. But thankfully, the cream rises to the top in China, and I've been able to find the few gems here and there, and brought them together for MMM3.

We've also dropped quite a bit of change on making sure that our buttons are not only unique, but very personalized. We hope that you'll appreciate all these extra features that you'll find in your blazer, and we're pretty sure it won't hurt your wallet either. It has been our quest to bring you the same quality that you'll find in Polo or Gucci, and I think we've done it. Check our blog out later this week to see all of our sweet threads (do people still say that in the US or am I so '03?).

MMM3: Final Start Date

South African boy-band hero Brad Hopwood rocks the blazer, points at losers who don't

DressMonkey followers, your time has come. Well, not yet actually. We suffered a few setbacks in the past few days of having some fabric delivery delays, and we're also in the midst of creating a kickass order form that will be pretty easy for you to fill out. So, I've talked with Jeff and we've decided that the final start date will be Tuesday, November 14th. At this time, you'll be able to purchase a blazer from our blog, and then we'll send you the order form immediately. Unfortunately, the window of opportunity for you to order a blazer is quite small, around 3 weeks. So our advice is to order early, very early. Jeff will be sending emails out to those on our mailing list to discuss exact details of ordering, but now you know when our start date is.

This date will not be delayed, and we apologize to those faithful DressMonkey readers who are yearning for the perfect blazer, your time is soon. When our store goes up early next year, the ordering process will be streamlined in a much simpler manner than you'll see in this MMM3 offering. So, keep reading and watching for your emails, Jeff is going to take the lead from here on out being your liaison with DressMonkey for MMM3 ordering. I hope you enjoy your blazer, Adam and I have been working pretty hard to make sure that you'll be impressed with every stitch, cool extra feature, and the freedom to choose how you want your blazer to look.

My Apartment/DressMonkey Stockroom

Hallway.JPG
DressMonkey boxes on the "loading dock," about to be crammed into my apartment

I used to work in moving and storage when I was younger. I would work every summer for the now defunct Barrieau Moving and Storage company in Hartford, CT. I would rub shoulders with ex-cons, bitch about not getting tips from old rich people, and gather some ridiculous stories on what kind of stuff people don't want you to see but forget to pack up before the movers arrive. With that being said, I should have been adequately prepared for the 150 very large DressMonkey boxes coming in today. And I wasn't, at all. Well, it didn't help that they showed up early, but I guess I just underestimated how large 150 boxes (garment boxes, not the ones you see in the above picture) actually are.

Now, my apartment has turned into a stock room, and as we at DressMonkey are too cheap to do pretty much anything (like get a corner of a warehouse), I'm just going to have to deal with it. But its not me that I'm worried about (I once slept in the back of a moving truck on the way from New York to Hartford, so I don't mind clutter), its my nemisis that may start to voice her discontent.

Regardless, you should see, firsthand the sacrifices we here at DressMonkey are making to deliver a kickass product next week. Don't forget to watch your emails for some updates this weekend, and then a final start date of November 14th!

Pigs Fly, Fish Breathe, DressMonkey Sells!

Yes, you read right, we're starting tomorrow! As I hope we've explained well in the past, MMM3 is geared primarily to help us as well as keep you warm this winter. This will test our supply chain pretty extensively, and also prove our concept so we've got some pretty high hopes riding on this. We're going to start selling for the first time online, and I'm nervous as shit! You can only prepare for something like this so much, then I guess you just have to try it out.

I'm dizzy from making the order form which you will soon be sent following your DressMonkey purchase, I hope that it is as user friendly as I think it is. I haven't worked this hard since my consulting days not too long ago. This is going to go down in DM history as one of the most random and pointless posts yet, but I hope that you get the core message from it. BUY A DRESSMONKEY BLAZER....TOMORROW! (follow Jeff's instructions)
